Australian Greens Leader Christine Milne had little to say when asked about policy and the potential loss of tens of thousands of jobs from the resources sector during an appearance on the ABC’s 7.30 Report this week.
The full interview can be seen here.
Not only are the Greens saying ‘no’ to jobs but ‘no’ to Australia’s most meaningful and affordable near term way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and ‘no’ to the development of new gas supplies required to put downward pressure on energy costs.
The reason the Greens are the only party opposed to natural gas development is that they appear to be the only party unconcerned by job loses, energy costs, and the discontinuation of Australia’s resources boom.
